The Wm. Dickson Company (WDC) owns and operates the Waller Road Inert Landfill & Recycling Center. The WDC obtained the gravel pit in 1959 in order to supplement their civil construction operations and to establish an area for their asphalt paving production plant. The site is still currently utilized as a gravel mine and inert landfill but has recently added a recycling aspect to the site in order to offer our clients crushed rock and recycled concrete products in various sizes and specifications.

We can not accept street sweeping debris, vegetation, sod or demolition debris. Our gravel pit is regulated by the Washington State Department of Ecology (Permit # WAG 501405), the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department (Permit #27-102) and the Department of Natural Resources (Pit # 10636 & 10396)

IMPORTANT NOTES: Our gravel mining and recycling operation is a dynamic process. As we move through our gravel pit and crushing stock, the particle sizes may change and that can alter the exact sieve analyses (i.e. the particle sizes), which makes up the products that we offer. We typically have recent (within the past 6 months) sieve analyses of our products. If you need a copy of a sieve analysis, please call our main office to request one. If you would like to compare and contrast these products, we can arrange sample buckets at the pit for your viewing. If you have any questions about any of these products, please ask.
